Our clients approached us having bought a desirable self-build plot in Lyme Regis, to develop a contemporary three-bedroom ‘reverse living’ house. They particularly wanted the property to take full advantage of the spectacular views over the bay and surrounding cliffs, whilst being environmentally sustainable and offering low running costs.
our approach
The topography of the site necessitated the design and build of a long structurally engineered retaining wall. Also, due to the plot being situated on land with high sand content, our team had to first design a solution to suit and have the foundations certified by our structural engineer.
The construction team then completed the build to our clients exacting standards achieving an excellent end-result within commercial budget constraints.

Although originally intended for our clients’ own use, the finished home received such a positive response from locals that after being approached by a number of people, he decided to sell the finished property and realise the profits.
